Here is an uncommon and interesting form of functional redware. I consider it a jar, but if the 2" wide spout were any smaller, then "bottle" could be an accurate name. It is 6 3/4" tall and 4 1/2" wide with a sloping "collar". It also has a protruding, circular "foot". There are some minor nicks, and the exterior has a lot of manganese decoration. 19th century. Fine condition.
