Engraved Brass Wax Jack - 25-041
An engraved brass Wax Jack. Intended for melting wax for the purpose of applying a seal to documents, letters, etc. The engraved scissor-like jaws are approximately 5.25” long, while the Jack stand is approximately 5.5” high, with the base approximately 3.25” in diameter. Complete with a coiled Bee’s wax taper. Found in New England, likely of French origin and dating to the 19th century.
