Miniature Redware Fat Lamp

A true miniature redware fat lamp in a light tan-white glaze. The bowl features a wick spout with a brown/black outline and rests upon a stem. which features three brown/black strokes resembling rings. These are reminiscent of the formed rings seen on the stems of some redware fat lamps. The stem sits in the middle of a saucer-shaped base. The lamp is in very good condition and measures 2.75” high x 2” wide. The whiteish color suggests that the piece may have been intended as a wedding gift. A truly unusual lamp in both size and color. This is reflected in its Provenance: ex: Titus Geesey collection.
