PA Redware Fat Lamp (24-277)
24-277. This is a scarce Pennsylvania Redware fat lamp, measuring approximately 6.5” high. Early Redware lighting like this is hard to find. This example is in as good-as-found condition, as it shows wear from everyday use. There are glaze loses and a well repaired crack in the base. It is all very stable and a good example of an everyday, domestically used early lighting device. It is from Pennsylvania and dates from the late-18th to early 19th century.
