Portrait miniature of a young woman in a red dress with a white bodice, blue cape, and long flowing curly hair in ribbons and braids. Expertly painted with fine details on ivory, and signed on a paper label “Helene Formans”. Set in an approximately 3” oval brass frame. Ca. early-19 th century and in very good condition.
