Tiger Maple Cutlery Box

Tiger Maple Cutlery Box— In addition to having two hinged lids, this uncommon, figured maple box features a substantial handle. That comfortable handle is 7/8" wide and decorated with incised rings. The length and width of the box are 12 1/2" and 8 1/4". The chamfered sides and chestnut bottom are securely held by small T-headed nails. Early-to-mid-19th century. Fine, all-original condition.
