The horn bowl is hand-hewn and attached to a long handle with a chip-carved and paint-decorated bone handle that terminates with a spade end. The paint decoration is subtle and appears to have been done using vegetable dyes. A rare, unique, and early piece! 19th c. Measuring 10 1/4" in length, with the tasting bowl measuring 2 1/2" by 2".
